With a focus on the structural integrity of a car's chassis, I aspire to improve the safety rating of automobiles, as accomplished by Bela Barenyi with the creation of crumple zones. Beginning in high school, I occupied a leadership position on the FIRST robotics team, where I led the design team in creating a sturdy model to complete a specified task. In college, I have my education path set on a concentration in automobile safety.College EducationIn my time at North Carolina State University, I gained experience in MATLAB and SolidWorks. I learned complex coding procedures and sophisticated modeling designs that are essential in the automobile industry. My qualifications extend to my academic coursework as I am accustomed to high-stress scenarios originating from strict deadlines and extensive projects. For instance, in my second year, I was assigned a group project to construct a virtual bridge within MATLAB. My group had a week to design a bridge to fit within specified parameters that can withstand certain vertical and horizontal loads.
