I have recently finished an intensive Coding Dojo full stack bootcamp where I learned HTML, CSS, SQL, Python, Java and JavaScript, along with the frameworks of Django, Java Spring Boot and MERN stack. I truly appreciate this experience as it fulfilled my passion about logical thinking. I'm always in the pursuit of increasing my skills and knowledge, implementing them to develop on a professional aspect.As a kid, I always dreamed of becoming a doctor, but life opened the door for another discipline; engineering. I studied civil engineering and developed an interest in the mechanics of things, and what to consider for something to work. Right after graduation I worked as a teaching assistant at the civil engineering department for two years.Interest in further development led the way for my master degree in geomatics engineering, after which I worked as an instructor in a university for 3 years. Working as an instructor requires patience and simplifying problems. I have that. In order to be able to explain a concept, you have to first understand it, and then plan how to convey it. You have to put yourself in students’ shoes and think about what the sequence of ideas is and which questions have to be answered. All this helped me develop research skills to get as much info as possible about the subject.I am enthusiastic to dive more into theoretical subjects but at the same time to see how they work in real life. I cannot wait to start my professional life in web and software development and really merge it in my past education. It’s true that I am open to a full career shift, but I would like to work as a GIS developer. Being fond of this field, and its dependence on web and software, I feel like I’m going to be up to the mark. As an engineer who have to analyze problems, think logically and conduct research, I enjoy working as a backend developer, but at the same time, appreciate the importance of front-end for a comprehensive GIS development.
