Hey, I am Jamal, a 20-year-old from Germany, currently living in Malta. But who am I exactly? I would describe myself as a very dynamic and positive individual with a passion for numbers and entrepreneurship. I also have a deep love for self-improvement and making the most out of every opportunity.A little more about my persona and my adventures: My self-driven and motivational mindset began at 15 during a visit to my grandparents in Belarus. With too much free time and a desire to make money, I ventured into print-on-demand for t-shirts. Though my first attempt didn’t succeed, it sparked my entrepreneurial journey.Over the years, I explored various ventures, from dropshipping to content creation, driven by an unstoppable entrepreneurial spirit. Some efforts paid off, such as growing Instagram and TikTok pages in the comedy niche to 50,000 and 200,000 followers, respectively, generating solid income.Eventually, I transitioned to a reselling business, scaling it to €3,800 in monthly profits. However, when I moved to Malta at 18 to pursue my academic career, balancing studies and business became difficult, leading to the gradual end of my reselling ventures.Taking this big step at 18 into a completely new country was the best decision I ever made. The experiences, lessons, and memories I’ve gained are invaluable, and I haven’t regretted a second of it over the past two years.In the past few months, I’ve been reflecting on how to gain better insights into my future career. I’ve always enjoyed working with numbers, starting with my choice of mathematics and physics as my main majors in high school, subjects that only one other person in my year selected. I also worked as a mathematics tutor for almost two years, which further fueled my passion. And my deep interest in solving problems through statistics, quantitative analysis, and econometrics at university has naturally led me to pursue a career as an analyst.Now, I’m channeling my self-determination and entrepreneurial spirit to propel myself into the field of data analytics, teaching myself Excel, SQL, and Tableau.
