I've interned and worked in fields around psychology/social work and education in order to help others better themselves from childhood to adulthood. I strongly believe that we need more counselors and psychologists. Mental health concerns are something that many people deal with, and too often the solution is to repress it and refuse to speak about it. I want to change this thinking. I want to be there for people when they are at their lowest and be able to lift them up and encourage them to work on themselves to bloom into an amazing person. I have learned that I had a unique skill to be able to easily "put myself in other people's shoes," which allows me to understand how a person may be feeling in the moment and help them overcome their obstacles.I'm interested in opportunities that give me experience in Psychology, Social Work & Education. I would love to get to work in with children through these experiences, but I'd also love to work with people of all ages and cultures.Some of my goals are:- Improve mental health for children & students of all ages.- Destigmatize the use of counseling and therapy in order to change how mental health is viewed.
