As a child, I would come home from elementary school and grab a different section of the encyclopedia from ou bookcase to read up on whatever subject piqued my interest that day. If not reading, I was often disassembling my electronic devices curious as to how they worked.My teachers often spoke of how they didn’t feel as if their curriculums were challenging enough for me.I eventually began taking art classes at Wayne State University at the age of 12. Art was one of my many interest and passions. My interest and abilities in art eventually progressed into my desire to become an architect. I began studying Computer Aided Drafting during my middle schools summer at Randolph Career Tech Center and eventually enrolled in the school as a full time student in my sophomore year of high school, graduating in my junior year of high school with a Certificate of Completion in Auto CAD, while majoring in architecture at Cass Technical High School simultaneously.Upon graduating from Cass Tech, I enlisted in the United States Marine Corps where I attained the rank of Sargeant I’m only 3 yrs and 11 mos. after previous meritorious promotions and continually displaying steadfast leadership where I held the duties of Work Center Supervisor and Collateral Duty Inspector in Avionics for the Boeing AV8-B Harrier Aircraft. In Avionics, I was responsible for maintaining, testing and troubleshooting Communication, Navigation, Instrumentation, Weapons, Radar and electrical systems.Once honorably discharged from the military I began working in the automotive industry as a electronic technician, Project Engineer - Electrical to my current managerial position as a Professional Maintenance Specialist.With over 20 years of experience in AC/DC systems and subsystems, testing, troubleshooting, design, blueprinting, schematics, management and leadership amongst countless other skills, I welcome the opportunity to continually learn and build upon my skill set in my current field.
