My mission is to be a light to the world through my talent that has been developed as a media journalist.I am thankful to have been able to attend a university here in the United States, this being Frostburg State University. Though Frostburg is not a school that has made popular its mass communications training, it has provided ways for plenty students including myself to gain much tech and media experience.My major is Liberal studies and my focus is in Journalism. During my time in Frostburg, I have been a very active worker of the campus news paper "The Bottom Line News." As a Freshman, I started off as a sports writer. I worked my way to being a writer that could write about other topics not pertaining to sports, following that I was made the editor of the sports section of the news paper where I have writers under me. I still currently hold this position. I am also the Vice President of a club named "Creative Communication Club" (CCC). Being apart of this group you not only learn the different ways of media, you learn how it is done professionally to the level of award shows, talk shows, and various things of that sort. I myself have been in the background where filming, production, directing, and editing is done. I have also been the talent on the opposite side of the camera. Overall, you are trained so that your skills meet a professional standard in the avenue of media.As a Liberal Studies student all of the talents I would need in the professional realm have been sharpened. It is clear writing is not a problem, as well as understanding literature, and I honestly have a love for mathematics that has not been shown due to what I have been focusing in.Other than what I have learned in the class room, FSU has a saying that I have learned to be the complete truth; "A world of experiences." There are so many different cultures, backgrounds, ethnicities, and personalities that lie on the Frostburg campus. With that fact you have no choice, but to learn how to work with everyone no matter their differences. I'm proud to say that in whatever I am doing, I know how to cooperate with individuals that may be of the complete different demographic as me to the benefit of a great purpose.
