Operations Manager
CurrentIn April of 2012 I started working at Ace Parking as an entry level manager at the Marriott Marquis in San Diego, CA where I assisted in managing a staff of 100 employees. This property is located next to the convention center, has a ton of banquet space, and 1360 guest rooms, making it the busiest hotel parking operation in San Diego. This experience served as a terrific learning ground for my career as an Operations Manager. Since then I've been promoted several times. Within 3 years I went on to manage the parking at the Westin San Diego and later the Wyndham Bayside. From there I began to manage multiple properties. I added Ruth's Steakhouse in downtown, Acqua Vista Condo Complex, and the Fours Points Sheraton. Currently I am an Area Manager, overseeing 5 locations between downtown San Diego and Del Mar. I credit this to my work ethic and excellent time management skills. In addition, I personally train all of my employees so that I am able to hold everyone accountable at all levels. In total I'm responsible for a $2.5M balance sheet, 75 line level employees, 5 assistant managers, and over 700 parking stalls. One of my biggest strengths rests in my ability to effectively run a business creatively and efficiently, accurate budgeting, and continued analysis of the P&L to ensure financial goals are met. Parking management at a hotel can be volatile environment. Another strength of mine is overall problem solving, and sound decision making with little to no lead time. Since Ace is contracted as a 3rd party vendor, client relationship management is extremely important so that our contracts are renewed, and referrals are created. I have interviewed, hired, and trained hundreds of employees. I have experience planning events for up to 5000 attendees. I've written and developed customer service and safety training material as well.
