Presentation Specialist - I am one of the Southeast's best producers of highly customized, graphically rich PowerPoint for a number of applications - from in-home sales & speaker support to kiosks and trade show applications. For the past several years, I have been working with products aimed at seniors to aid with 'aging in place' - or products that allow for safe, in-home independence for as long as possible. From clients in the Metro Atlanta area, I've expanded outward to recent clients in Nashville, Chicago, Minneapolis, Jacksonville, Las Vegas, Denver, Richmond and elsewhere.Last spring, Riley Design Works was an 'in-kind" sponsor for the 2016 Marietta Muttropolitian Fashion Show, benefiting several pet rescue & assistance groups. RDW designed all the printed promotional materials, which included tickets, a flyer, a 5 x 7 handbill, a poster and social media visuals - as well as a kiosk style PPT loop that featured the event sponsors and ran in both the lobby and theater area prior to and during the event.

This is a recent side venture as a mineral & fossil dealer. In addition, there is an educational aspect in that I will be doing guest presentations at museums, schools & small groups to share a lifetime of expertise on mineral knowledge. I will also be creating displays & accompanying educational materials about specific locations and the types of minerals & crystals that can be collected from there. Plans are also in the works to publish a number of articles on new locations and newly discovered material. And finally - I get the opportunity to create first rate promotional materials, business cards, banners, advertising, signage and original custom presentation designs. For the 2016 RockFest at the Tellus Northwest Museum of Science - I was the guest speaker doing a talk on the collectible minerals of SE Missouri's famous Viburnum Trend lead belt. It got great feedback from museum personnel and audience members. I will be a March 2017 Symposium presenter as well and will do an expansion of the Viburnum Trend piece outlining the location's hydrothermal origins.

A specialty press book publishing company dedicated to the craft of the book in the genres of Dark Fantasy, Science Fiction & Horror. After a temporary hiatus, UP is about to be relaunched with the publication of a fantasy novel and 3 new additions to The Unnameable Poetry Works. Previous books have received awards for Best Anthology and been a finalist for the World Fantasy Award. We've published many of the top names in Fantasy & Horror literature. I do all the book design as well as all design of marketing and sales material. Co-editor of the 1995 anthology, Once Upon a Midnight, an invitational and very well received poetry anthology that celebrated the 150th Anniversary of "The Raven" by Edgar Allan Poe. Named a "Notable Book of the Year" by OMNI Online for '95.Currently preparing a proposal for 5 new titles through a crowd-funding initiative to be launched soon. One of the featured titles, UMBRAL BRANCHINGS and OTHER DARK THOUGHTS will be an overview of the past 30 years of my dark fantasy poetry. I will be the primary designer on all books and collateral.

A specialty greeting card company aimed at people coping with life's challenges.Launched with partner, Georgia Dzurica, at the National Stationery Show in New York City in mid May 2008. The cards feature all my own photography and design. We've received good industry press and have been featured in 4 industry publications, a local Atlanta design magazine, and were selected to have our line featured in the NSS New Product Showcase.

I took on the role of group President for the 2017 term and will help the group refocus and evolve to serve Atlanta's freelance creative community. Past President is an automatic board position - so I am still active with helping this group evolve. Active member since 1996. I've also served on the board in 1999-2001 and VP again in 2011; I was the director of the 2000 Portfolio Show and have been on numerous committees. Did a program in Dec 2008 on using PPT as a medium for portfolio presentations.Was the creator/facilitator of the May 2011 program: SOCIAL EVOLUTION and the Future of Business Trends for the Creative Industry, which examined the breadth and depth of employment possibilities for creative communications professionals in the Green Community.

I've done a considerable amount of on-site production work through several agencies and client direct over the past 15 years. I have done everything from page layout to billboards, books & catalog production, design for interactive training and instruction, presentation graphics and highly custom PowerPoint, and just about anything that one can print in some way. Check with me for a client list and samples.Developed an entire unified content management & tracking system for an interactive training developer in the late '90s that allowed the careful and accurate production of entire CBT modules integrating graphics, voice-overs, sound effects, animation and programming. Added additional support creating graphics and expert content knowledge.

Part time consultant for a small Ohio-based company that produces limited production trading cards. I've assisted with 7 card sets including a promotional set for the documentary film, Stealing the Fire and one of the best rollercoaster card sets ever made. NostalgiCards primarily specializes in homages to cards and stickers produced in the 1960s & 1970s. I've created logos, card designs, packaging, box & wrapper designs, banner and print ads, and company branding.June 2009 update: I designed and delivered a new card project for the documentary film, Anthax Wars from Eric Nadler & Bob Coen at Transformer Films for their NYC Premiere. Mr. Coen, a former correspondent for CNN Africa said, "I must take my hat off to you for an absolutely amazing set of cards - thanks! They are a work of beauty and really appreciate all the thought and effort that went into them." His partner's succint assessment? "These cards ROCK!"
