I’m an economist by schooling, an engineer by trade, and a field leader who has been practicing software development and product management over the last 15 years. I value mission-driven work, high-impact and pragmatic technology solutions, and empathetic and kind organizational culture.My background is in startups, media labs, and socially conscious market design. At my first startup, GoPop, I created a set of app-based visual storytelling tools that have since been replicated and standardized on major social media platforms. Our startup was acquired by BuzzFeed where I then spent 5 years scaling and managing teams of engineers. We created publishing tools and consumer products that drove the engagement of hundreds of millions of users in the heyday of BuzzFeed.I’ve since served as the CTO of Recount Media, where I built and led the product and engineering teams from Seed stage to Series B and co-founded Upside Collab, an equitable housing development organization, driving new models of community wealth building.I’m a mathematician at heart with a love for visual art, mountain biking, big cities, and adventuring with my wife and 5-year-old daughter.
