-Ensure a safe job site at all times-Lead unseasoned crews in completing projects on schedule -Plan for each workday to insure that all necessary resources, and material are available to accomplish the day's task-Empower volunteers and temporary workers to be productive contributors. -Work with ReStore General Manager, Donations Coordinator and Decon-Site Supervisor to plan and track labor, material, and equipment use for each project-Clean and maintain vehicles, tools, and equipment.Periodically inspect vehicles, tools, and equipment to make certain they are in proper and safe working condition.-Build positive relationships with homeowners, crews, neighbors, vendors, and subcontractors-Assist in ReStore warehouse and on truck as needed

A Donation Ambassador is someone who greets, educates and impresses our donors. Donations are the life blood of the ReStore and with all the choices a donor has to support their community, we need only the best representing us.Through the use of ReStore trucks, the Donations Ambassador is responsible for picking up donations in Durham and Orange counties. Additionally, the DA assists with unloading, processing, stocking and floor placement of all donations.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSGeneral Service • Be knowledgeable of ReStore products, policies and procedures. • Maintain a clean, safe work area. • Be able to work in all-weather environments. • Ability to assign tasks to volunteers.Donations • Be knowledgeable of donation policies. • Consult with the Donations Coordinator or Store Manager on receipt of items that do not meet the established acceptance criteria. • Welcome/thank donors; record acceptable donations on a donor receipt; provide donor with a copy of the receipt for their records. • Load/unload donated items in an organized manner. • Assist in cleaning and repairing donated items for sales floor readiness. • Assist and work with other ReStore staff and volunteers to help move and place the priced inventory items on the sales floor.
