PitchMarketing in this day and age has changed. A newspaper or television add does not reach as many people as it used to. Last year US companies spent 8 billion dollars on TV advertisement however they are now starting to realize how waste full that is. It was found that majority of households do not watch shows on air time but more so they record it and watch later or they stream it from Netflix or other providers. This means that the money spent on a car coming down a hill or a baby with lotion on his back is gone to waste as people are skipping past the advertisement. For people who are unlucky enough to watch it during air, they most assuredly will grab whatever smartphone in their possession and start scrolling through social media instead of watching that advertisement. White collard companies have noticed this and are now pushing onto social media marketing. The offers seen on Instagram and Facebook are an example of what this is.
