Observes clients to detect physical and behavioral signs and symptoms that may require medical attention. Documents client data and reports client observations to providers and/or nurse. Reviews and compares objective client data (ex. lab test results) to nurse delegated standing medical orders to determine appropriate course of action. . • Provides information and answers routine questions of clients and or family members according to established standards regarding their medical care and preventive health maintenance topics such as diet, weight, smoking and topics related to medical specialty. • Establishes a compassionate environment by providing culturally sensitive emotional, psychological, and spiritual support to clients, friends, and families. Inquires client regarding socioeconomic needs and provides resource information • Investigates and troubleshoots problems with equipment, procedures, specimens, reagents and/or workflow• Administers medications under the direction of a provider. • Performs tests, for examples EKG, eye exams, under the direction of a provider. • Reviews the patient record to determine whether patient requires any routine health screenings. • Note patient history and personal information • Help doctors with patient exams • Give patients injections or medications per doctor orders (as permitted by state law) • Prep blood samples for lab tests • Referrals • Medication refills
