Passionate and forward-thinking Urban Studies graduate with a strong foundation in urban planning, sustainable development, and community engagement. Eager to launch a career in urban planning and apply the knowledge and skills gained through academic coursework and projects. I was taught the social, economic and environmental factors that shape cities, I am willing to learn and explore to broaden my understandings through gained experience. During my academic studies, I conducted in-depth research on city policies, transportation planning, and creating a Master Plan for new developments. I developed critical thinking and problem-solving through coursework that focused on analyzing urban challenges and implementing solutions. I researched implementing new policies in older communities, such as presenting to community members the idea of applying complete streets policy in older inner-city communities to enhance the use of space for all types of transportation. I also participated in many group projects and actively communicated with peers on ideas, and contributed my skills to the betterment of the projects. I enjoy creating data visualization through cartography to translate data visually to communicate information to stakeholders effectively.
