Throughout the course of my career, I have honed my abilities in accounting, reporting, and team management. I am an astute problem-solver capable of prioritizing and managing complex projects with proficiency.In my previous role, I managed the day-to-day operations of the client billing team, insuring accuracy, and timeliness. In 2015 I managed the billing department’s transition to new accounting software, and in 2020, the transition to paperless billing. These transitions required creating completely new procedures, designing custom database fields for the accounting software, designing custom dashboards and invoice formats, and communicating these new procedures to the project management team.Along the way, I implemented procedures and controls to help identify ongoing billing & project setup errors, reducing billing errors by around 90% and reducing lost revenue by several thousand dollars per month.In addition to my role as the billing supervisor, I performed several quarterly, general ledger account reconciliations, recorded needed journal entries, and assisted with yearly accounting audits. I also worked with AP, Payroll, and AR/Collections personal to improve processes, controls, and provide needed tools such as dashboards and reports.I exercised skills in critical thinking, problem-solving and month-end accounting and consistently contributed to team efforts and organizational improvements. I am open-minded and focused on new developments in my field. I have proven to be effective and motivational, with proficiency in innovation and collaborative work. I enjoy brainstorming and coordinating efforts to achieve a common goal.
