I was born in Dallas, Texas and grew up in Garland, Texas. Following an honorable discharge from the United States Navy, I received a B. S. degree from Texas State University in Resource and Environmental Studies with a minor in Law Enforcement. During college, I became a Texas certified peace officer/fire fighter EMT and served as Assistant Fire Marshal and Emergency Management Coordinator for Hays County, Texas. After graduation I was employed by Naismith Engineering in Corpus Christi, Texas before joining Rimkus Consulting Group of Houston, opening new offices in McAllen and Los Angeles. At Vertex I helped grow the forensic practice from scratch; starting with 3 to over 60 professionals. I have over 25 years of professional qualifications and experience representing insurance carriers, government agencies and attorneys, include: Environmental claims, Fire cause and origin, Mold, Construction defect liability, thermography, drones, all forms of property damage, including mold and windstorm, involvement in thousands of mediations associated with environmental and property claims, participation in complex construction, vehicle accident investigations, and catastrophe litigation settlements.
