Profile bio

About James Allbright

As an Army veteran, I have learned to embrace risk as a keystone of strategic growth. Risk is defined as a “hazard or dangerous chance,” something to be avoided, transferred, or mitigated. However, risk also means "to venture upon, to take a chance.” From this perspective, risk is an opportunity cost—a potential value that must be analyzed, debated, and weighed against other efforts. Strategic planning must encourage discussions on risk versus reward or it will be ill-fated from the start. What other words have shaped my growth as a leader?- Collaboration: I invest time and energy into my teammates because I know that they are the key to my success. - Curiosity: I love diving into new and complex problems, and then working with others to deliver clear and compelling solutions.- Integration: I love discovering the connective tissue in matrixed organizations. Communication is more than sending & receiving messages, it must also align goals and establish clear expectations.- Culture: I am passionate about transforming organizational cultures so that individuals and teams can turn strategic goals into achievable outcomes.
