Citywide role leading teams of GP practices collaborating on a number of quality improvement projects.

I provided clinical care for elderly acute and rehabilitation inpatients as part of the Care of the Elderly team. I was a regular part of the on call medical team. I developed my interest in medical education providing some supervision and guidance for foundation doctors and regular teaching sessions for medical students attached to the team.

I provided clinical care for patients in a rural general practice setting as a Medical Officer under clinical supervision. The remote location ensured a wide exposure to all of rural general practice. This extends from chronic disease management through to acute and emergency medicine.

I provided clinical care for medical and surgical patients during a 2 year foundation training programme. Roles included clinical work in Acute Medicine, General Surgery, Old Age Psychiatry, Emergency Medicine, Trauma and Orthopaedics and Primary Care.
