AUDIO VIDEO TECHNICIAN1. Operates a variety of video and audio equipment such as cameras, remote controls, VCRs, and video switchers to provide live and taped cable television coverage of City Council and other meetings as needed.2. Monitors system operation, diagnoses problems and makes minor adjustments as necessary.3. Documents operational procedures for the purposes of training others in theoperation of the equipment.4. May operate hand held video equipment for purposes of filming off-site City sponsored events and activities.5. Operates various computer hardware and software for information exchange purposes, such as establishing and and maintaining the City of Dixon cable television bulletin board, and updating the City of Dixon Website(s) on the Internet6. Acts as liaison to cable television franchise company=s technical staff.7. Assists with installation of cable television and other government access equipment.COMMUNITY SERVICES THEATER TECHNICIAN1. Plan, organize, and direct the technical staff.2. Develop and administer an ongoing training program for staff and user groups.3. Develop and supervise technical operations, maintenance and inventory procedures.4. Meet and work with user groups and other interested parties to ensure the most efficient use of staff and facilities.5. Maintain the stage, shop, booth, backstage and related areas and equipment in a safe and orderly manner.6. Prepare and maintain appropriate records and reports.7. Assist in the preparation of event schedules.8. Provide input for tracking and controlling facility operation and maintenance of costs.9. Provide technical support for City special events, some of which are major in scope.10. Review and prepare technical riders and needs for all events in the theater and other locations.11. Perform related duties as assigned.
