I am a third-year student at Indiana University's Kelley School of Business, majoring in Finance and Operations Management. I use my problem-solving and critical-thinking skills to make decisions and have developed these skills throughout many years of Boy Scouts, running my own business, and working as a short-order cook. In Scouts, I held leadership positions such as patrol leader where I was in charge of my patrol for six months to focus the group on common goals, and Trek Leader where I led a group of 14 young men on a high adventure trip navigating with map and compass and planned our meals and water allotment days in advance. As a business owner, I set prices and made time management decisions based on the cost of supplies and the profit available. As a short-order cook, I use organizational skills to get orders completed successfully and efficiently in a high-pressure environment. Currently, as a student at the Kelley School, I am developing my skills by enrolling in a rigorous course load and also enrolling in classes that expand my knowledge and pique my interests such as musical and cultural studies. I have expanded my network through campus organizations and being active at the Newman Center on campus. I am the Grand Knight of the Bloomington Knights of Columbus college council where I organize fraternal events and fundraisers to enhance our philanthropic mission.
