Promoted numerous times, serving in leadership and intelligence roles as an Aviation Scout Platoon Leader, Battalion Intelligence Officer, Forward Air Controller, Joint Operation Aviation Officer, Troop Commander, Brigade Assistant Operations Officer, Joint Operations Officer, Battalion Commander, Brigade Executive Officer, Brigade Commander, Chief of Staff and Director for Southern Strike, a Special Operations Joint Accredited Exercise.Extensively involved in aviation and intelligence support for special operations during several different times that included senior-level positions leading the operations and intelligence section composed of U.S. Army, U.S. Navy, and Gabonese counterparts in conjunction with African partner: Angola, Congo, and CAR. This experience involved developing threat assessment for terrorist activities abroad, coordinating multi-agency intelligence collection/distribution, and providing update briefings to senior leadership.Completed three extended deployments during this time. The first with Special Forces in Afghanistan as part of Operation Enduring Freedom from 2003 until 2004 and then as a Commander of an AH-64 Troop from 2006 until 2007 during Operation Iraqi Freedom, and as J2/3 Task Force for Gabon, Africa.
