President and Founder of InvesTech Research, which has earned widespread recognition for its time-proven risk-allocation strategy. Formerly a project manager for IBM Research with a number of domestic and international patents to his credit. Graduate degree in engineering, with post-graduate study in business. With a distinctive approach to stock market analysis and unique insight into the Federal Reserve, he is frequently quoted in financial publications such as Barron's, Money Magazine, The Wall Street Journal, Forbes and USA Today. Early in his career, Jim was a featured guest on Wall Street Week with Louis Rukeyser in 1984, and has subsequently appeared on numerous media programs over the past 40 years. He became the longest running Market Monitor Guest on PBS'​ Nightly Business Report before Paul Kangas' retirement in 2009. He is commonly invited to be a keynote speaker at investment conferences throughout the world.
