I have over 50 years' aviation experience as a Commercial Pilot/Flight Instructor and as a degreed mechanical design engineer working on 14 CFR 23, 14 CFR 25, JAR and EASA Part 25 Airplanes, JAR E Engines, and fighter aircraft. I am also a skilled photographer.I am familiar with most basic aspects of aircraft engineering, manufacturing, and flight operations.Lead and supervisory assignments have included project tracking using both government and company specific systems.My engineering experience is now about equally divided between Design and Certification (Quality and Airworthiness).The high points of my engineering career are:- Lead Engineer on Boeing (McDonnell Douglas) F-15 Eagle Emergency Arresting Hook,- Project Engineer for Production Design on the Original Mooney 201 (M20J)- Leading the successful EN/AS 9100 Quality Management System and ISO 14001 Environmental Management System certification efforts at Airbus Americas EngineeringIn retirement I am concentrating on:- Flight and Ground Instruction and- Event and Documentation Photography, specializing on Process Definition and Confirmation, Archival Photographs, Digital Repair of old photographs and documents, and Digital Copies from negatives, and slides (including negatives and slides larger than 35mm.)
