I am a Field Manager at Southwest Office Systems and a student at the University of North Texas pursuing a Bachelor of Applied Arts and Sciences degree with an emphasis on Leadership Development. My first career was in the U.S. Air Force where I proudly served for nine years, from 1990 to 1999. It was in the Air Force where I learned all aspects of equipment repair and maintenance and how to troubleshoot complex electro-mechanical systems. While serving and living overseas, I continued to work towards my Associate's degree in equipment maintenance which I completed in 1996. I have been in copier field service from 1999 to the present. I have directly worked for two major manufacturers, OCÉ and Canon, and now work at a locally owned Sharp certified dealership. I have extensive troubleshooting experience and I have supported national-level accounts as well as smaller single machine accounts. I was a field service technician until 2016 when I was offered the opportunity to become a field manager. As a manager, I use my past customer service experience to inform my actions on how to better help the technician serve our clients. My philosophy for management is that I work for the people under me and it is my job to help them while accomplishing the goals of the company. If the technicians have the support they need, they cannot fail. I am passionate about removing roadblocks to success and delivering top-notch service to the people who trust us with their service needs.
