This role involved the management of all technical and non-technical risks within the engineering design domain at the International Thermonuclear Experimental Reactor (ITER). Specific responsibilities involve: - Develop and monitoring the ITER's capabilities on R&OM by implementing best practice methods, processes, tools (ARM, P6, Confluence) and governance rules for R&O identification, assessment, prioritization, reporting to senior management as well as response planning, monitoring and controlling from a Project Management perspective. - Defining maintaining and improving the ITER R&OM key documentation and procedures.- Developing, maintaining and improving the project R&OM register and its system integration into the overall IT landscape of the project. - Production of senior management reports to key stakeholders on a regular basis - Interaction with all technical teams and non-technical teams (PMO) to integrate major and non major risks into forecasting (schedule and cost). - Overview of all risks related to design, manufacture, integration and construction phases of the project and responsibility for assigning appropriate workforces and mitigation strategies.- Senior meeting attendance for internal governance and also presentations to European Councils.- Collaboration approach with stakeholders from multiple nations including: Japan, Korea, USA, China, India and EU. - Key responsibility for training and implementation of training pipelines on latest procedures.

Employed as a project manager within Mott MacDonald but focussing on project controls within the Engineering and Design Domain at the International Thermonuclear Experimental Reactor (ITER).Responsibilities include: - Providing support solutions to the Engineering and Design Domain, which specifically includes the following Divisions: Ports, Plugs and Diagnostics, Internal Components, Heating and Current Drive, Fuel Cycle, Remote Handling and Radiological Waste Management and Design Office.-Standardisation and improvement of the project management processes with a special focus on the risk mitigation and opportunity exploitation processes within ITER technical divisions and across all Delivery Agencies through auditing. -Identification, management and successful exploitation/mitigation of technical/non-technical risks and opportunities throughout the Construction Phase and Operation Phase of ITER. -Multi-national collaboration during joint reviews with Japan, China, Russia, US, Korea, Indian and European Union. -Risk and Opportunity analysis and project management of elements related to one of the world’s most complex systems engineering projects throughout design, manufacture and assembly phases of systems leading to integration and commissioning to a level in which a tokamak plasma can be maintained. -Assisting on QRA using Monte Carlo techniques performed within Primavera to assess confidence in the budget and schedule. -Running of educational training seminars to multi-national experts and post-graduate/under-graduate students. - Delivering both quantitative and qualitative action reports to senior staff at ITER inclusive of Domain, Division and Sector Heads.

Working as an assistant project manager within the Ministry of Defence (DE&S). Specifically focusing on procurement, tendering and negotiations.Main responsibilities include: - Developing and identifying risks and opportunities throughout the portfolio and updating risk and opportunity documents on a monthly basis. - Lead on several team meetings with industry experts to identify flaws and opportunities throughout the Complex Weapon Portfolio - Developing Mitigation plans to reduce the impact of risk on the delivery of Future Portfolio. - Lead on bi-weekly risk and reward presentations to senior stakeholders. - Using P6 to create a coherent plan of all activities needed to be performed and then running Monte Carlo simulations to asses impact on time and cost- Creating the WBS and OBS for the future portfolio as well as the BOE for resource allocation. - Leading on work packages throughout the UK Government approvals process of SOC, OBC, FBC. - Assisting with planning and implementation of Sector Investment appraisals - Stakeholder management with Atkins and PWC on independent benefits analysis, Cost Model and benefits framework of the overall portfolio approach. - Identifying risks and opportunities to skill sustainment throughout the portfolio with the assistants of RAND. - Assisting with work packages within the commercial negotiations including the qualifying defence contract arrangement. - Assisting on evidence documentation needed for approvals such as Technology roadmap, Risk Register and Fallback Plan, Communications Plan, Value Framework, Complex Weapon Market Place Analysis.
