Recruited to develop and manage the Heat Exchanger Design Engineering department in a start-up operation for Alstom in the U.S., with focus on support of heat transfer equipment for nuclear power applications (feedwater heater, surface condenser, deaerator, moisture-separator reheater). Department duties include equipment design and project engineering activity related to heat transfer equipment, adapting company design methodology to U.S. codes, industry standards and customer expectations. • Hired engineering staff and coordinated training and technology transfer with European headquarters• Coordinated U.S. engineering department with Alstom engineering centers in Europe and Asia to match available local talent with needs of the company globally, negotiating workscope for staff to contribute to global contracts• Technical support for NAFTA region Sales and Tendering activities, and support to the development of a supplier base within the NAFTA region.
