- Developed an automatic pipeline software for photoreceptor reflectance and retinal velocity estimation using Adaptive Scanning Laser Ophthalmoscope (AOSLO) imaging for early Diabetic Retinopathy detection.- Communicated with doctors and specialists both in English and French to iteratively improve the pipeline’s results and deliver tools such as Graphical User Interface (GUI) so that they can easily use the provided code.- Integrated and coordinated innovations developed both by myself and by other students from the Data Science team.

- Title: Computer Vision for in-vivo analysis of photoreceptors in diabetic patients using Adaptive Scanning Laser Ophthalmoscope (AOSLO) imaging.- Used classical Computer Vision techniques for vessel detection, montaging single images in retinal locations and registering multiple scattered-light images from the AOSLO, and used Deep Learning methods for cone detection but also for test-time augmentation.- Studied the morphology and function of the photoreceptors in diabetic patients compared to a control group to test specific hypotheses about photoreceptor activities in disease patients, in the attempt to establish early biomarkers.

- 3-month internship as a Data Scientist intern in the start-up Scailyte, working with data from single-cell RNA-seq, mass cytometry (CyTOF), and high-dimensional flow cytometry.- Worked with the Data Science team to expand the capabilities of Scailyte’s deep learning framework by using PyTorch CNN to improve the discovery and development of biomarkers for precision medicine.- Improved the network architecture and modified its output from binary to a more predictive output (precise molecular profile or disease-related cell populations) from high-dimensional single-cell data.
