I’m no stranger to challenges. When I was in college, I was on the track and field team while also completing my engineering degree. Each of these experiences taught me the value of hard work and instilled a strong sense of determination in me that I’ve always carried with me.It’s never mattered what the challenge is – when I set my mind to something, I can accomplish anything.That’s why I chose to be an engineer – to challenge myself every day and use my experiences and technical acumen to help organizations work smarter.I possess a curiosity that doesn’t fade, which is a useful quality for an engineer who specializes in instrumentation, controls and automation with distributed controls systems. Unafraid of a challenge, I’m constantly looking at all projects with a fresh perspective, always open to trying new and innovative ways to improve the way a machine or process functions and still meet the highest standards.At first glance, it may seem like my job is 100% technical, but I’ve also had many opportunities to expand my communication and interpersonal skills. Whether I’m interacting with clients to gather project requirements or giving technical advice to team members, I seek to understand what others need and how I can best meet those needs.Engineering can be challenging – both the technical and social aspects of the job – but I wouldn’t have it any other way. I’ve grown quite accustomed to rising above expectations and thriving in challenging environments. I’m an experienced engineer and a team player with proven success executing large-scale technical and instrumentation-controls and automation projects.
