I am a graduate of Northern Illinois University with a Bachelors of Science in Mechanical Engineering.Currently, I am a Mechanical Design Engineer at E91 in Davenport Iowa.As a Mechanical Engineer with Microplasma Ozone I was able to work very closely with a small startup team and gain valuable experience with how companies function including R&D, inventory, RMA, product development, and product testing. During my time at NIU, I became a very active member of the SAE mini baja team. While on this team, I was the design lead for the front suspension and steering group. This position allowed me to lead a team of four other students in a redesign of the front suspension that resulted in a weight reduction of eight pounds. My senior design team and I worked closely with our client to deliver a prototype for a machine capable of delivering repeated torque applications to a human extremity. We had weekly meetings and many design iterations to deliver a design that exceeded the expectations of our client. This device will hopefully be used in research on the effects that powerful torque tools have on factory workers. This research will lead to devices and methods for reducing injuries in workers. I have consistently held a job since I was 15 years old, and I know the value of hard work and dedication to reach a goal.
