Software Engineer Role• Design, develop, and test an API package in two programming languages with the goal of easing customer integration. • Use lessons learned from previous API support to design a robust interface capable of supporting growth while adhering to industry standards for naming and design patterns. • Actively engage with customers during development to improve quality and design. • Thoroughly document the API using Doxygen and Microsoft Word with detailed examples and recommended use cases. Quality Engineer Role• Leverage expertise on protocol and experience with customer engagement to understand and anticipate potential pitfalls in the operations. • Design prove the product to ensure a high standard of quality. o Raised over 200 issue reports on the device and worked closely with the developers to establish expected behavior. o Created over 1000 NUnit tests and an additional 200 integration tests to ensure proper regression testing for future releases.

Software engineer responsible for the development and support of banknote validators used in the casino industry and unattended retail kiosk markets. Lead PC application developer responsible for design and development of internal and external tools• Collaborated with customers, marketing, technical support, and sales team to develop new project requirements and monitor existing product performance. • Operated as technical lead for all aspects of the EASITRAX Soft Count system, including PC application, database maintenance, device firmware updates, and RFID tag communications.• Improved customer facing APIs developed in both C# and Java. Improvements included the addition of a unit test framework for both APIs to improve stability and reduce the number of customer reported issues. • Designed an automated test tool framework to validate proprietary communication protocols. As a result, product regression test cycle was reduced from two weeks to three days. • Developed WPF-based application to integrate Perforce and Jira into the team's process for the purpose of managing software releases and auto-generating documentation. • Managed technical development of several small to medium projects (8-16 weeks) for an eight person, off-shore team including defining requirements, design and code reviews, and final user acceptance testing. • Conducted semi-weekly introductory classes on C# programming to as many as six coworkers at a time.
