As an accomplished industrial designer, I've had the privilege of working with some of the industry's most innovative brands, including Okamura, All Steel, Kvadrat, Scavolini, and Alessi during my time at Rainlight Studio. Here, I honed my skills in team collaboration and design development, utilizing diverse media to communicate ideas aligned with Rainlight Studios' philosophy. While at Rainlight, my team and I won several prestigious awards, such as "Best of NeoCon," "iF Design Award," "FX Awards," "Red Dot Design Award," and "German Design Award."I hold a Master's in Design Innovation from Victoria University's School of Design, where I nurtured a broad interest in various design disciplines, from product and interior design to spatial design and architecture. My passion for design extends to the nuanced interactions and aesthetics of designed objects, a perspective I refined through roles at Michael Anastassiades, Bethan Gray, and Fredrikson Stallard.My career has seen me engage in multiple facets of design and production. At BoConcept New Zealand, I balanced roles in interior design, sales, furniture assembly, and display creation. An internship with Formway Design further enriched my experience with concept design, model making, material research, supplier sourcing, and manufacturing.As Senior Designer at Minimalux in London, I gained global insights into the design business, working on projects that spanned lighting, furniture, exhibitions, and accessories. This role allowed me to manage bespoke commissions, extend existing ranges, and contribute to new product development.I am passionate about all design disciplines, from architecture to interior and product design, drawing inspiration from the built environment and the processes behind it. My diverse skill set includes proficiency in both traditional and modern design programs and technologies. Known for my strong work ethic and commitment, I thrive in both team settings and independent roles.For the last year, I decided to give up my role at Rainlight Studio to become a full-time father to my beautiful daughter, enabling my partner to successfully start her business. Although I look forward to stepping back into my role as a designer, it has been an incredibly rewarding and fulfilling time having the opportunity to watch her grow into a wonderful tiny human.I am excited to bring my unique blend of creativity, technical skills, and collaborative spirit to new and challenging design opportunities.
