Currently serves as Executive Chairman of Nellson, a portfolio company undergoing transformational change.

One of three partners in private equity investment firm focused on acquiring middle-market companies in need of operational and/or financial restructuring. With $300 million under management, equity investments ranged from $10 - 70 million in companies with revenues of $20 -$500 million. Responsible for working with portfolio companies on corporate strategy, profit improvement initiatives, restructurings, refinancings, and add-on acquisitions, and for identifying, evaluating, and structuring new investment opportunities.

Whitestone was a portfolio company of Capricorn involved in the manufacture and sale of disposable medical products. After acquiring the company out of bankruptcy, Mr. Better turned around the company and ultimately sold it to a European strategic buyer at the end of 2008.
