James studied at The College For Creative Studies in Detroit, Michigan. After completing his education in design, he relocated to San Francisco during that city’s period of frenzied gentrification. The Bay Area has always held a strong appreciation for its rich architectural heritage, and Blair’'s approach to design evolved by embracing this passion for quality craftsmanship.In 2001 James migrated to “America’s Finest City” and founded Ziggurat Design. He set out to offer custom home design that is innovative, yet has an appreciation for the best of the past. His projects are unique, eco-minded and possess a heightened attention to detail. With Blair'’s holistic approach to design, an entire project can be handled, comprehensively, from concept to the interior details; all the way through to the landscape and interior design.
