Under the supervision of Dr Richard Holland, I am investigating a possible connection between social learning and spatial memory in goldfish, Carassius auratus. Through this course, I have gained in-depth knowledge and understanding of experiment design, research skills, fish brain anatomy, spatial memory in animals and social learning in fish.

Have spent two weeks every year (since 2016) working on cetacean conservation with the Atlantic Whale and Dolphin Foundation. The position provides first-hand experience with recording behavioural data of migratory and native cetacean populations, handling large data sets with a fin ID project and educating tourists on our conservation efforts. We also convincing the public to sign petitions regarding important issues, such as plastic pollution and whaling.
