As the Production Engineer it is my responsibility to take new product designs through prototyping and ultimately into production. Ensuring all hardware and machined parts arrive on time and in spec.I am also in charge of the carbon fiber room operations, the machinery, and the technicians running the machines. This includes taking carbon fiber tubes from our supplier, sanding them down to the proper OD, cutting them to length, drilling holes, and getting them ready to be assembled into tripod legs.I work directly with the owners of the company, machinists, engineers, experienced employees, and outside vendors to create new products that are useful, reliable, production ready, and worth the investment.♦ Designed camera mounting brackets, various clamps, and other camera hardware accessories.♦ Review new products for functionality and usability, analyze the parts from a manufacturing perspective, and ensure drawings are properly dimensioned including GD&T where necessary. ♦ Comparing quotes from different vendors bidding to make the parts, and issuing purchase orders for the prototypes and the initial production run.♦ Manage carbon tube post processing, personnel, and machinery.

I was the first employee to participate in their Leadership Development Rotation Program where I worked on many interesting projects and different teams such as R&D, test lab, mountain bike team, and wheels and components.♦ Numerous projects as lead engineer managing design, 3D, 2D, GD&T, and FAI using CMM.♦ Multiple trips to China and Taiwan to oversee quality and manufacturing, including tooling inspection, problem solving with vendors, and material selection.♦ Personally machined prototypes and testing fixtures for frames and components.♦ Carbon fiber layup process for repairs and new parts, including design and machining of molds.

Working in the shops on campus supervising and assisting other students with their various wood, metal and plastic projects. ♦ Using tools such as mills, lathes, various welders, various wood tool and a wide variety of power tools and equipment.♦ Teaching best work practices and safety with wide range of tools and equipment.

Work on and off as a desk clerk, auditor and customer assistance.

I worked on new and old bicycles doing repairs and assembling. I also worked the floor helping customers find a bike to fit their needs and price range.

Worked as an Auto CAD draftsman designing buildings, homes, and remodels both commercial and residential.
