I am currently assisting Skytrans Aviation as a Business Development Manager/FIFO Charter Consultant to introduce their new A319 aircraft into the Australian market. My primary focus is on an ACMI (Aircraft, crew, maintenance and Insurance) with major airlines whilst also looking for FIFO opportunities.

AVMIN is owned by one of the largest travel agency groups in the world, the Flight Centre Travel Group. Our services range from supplying light turboprops right up to commercial sized airliners, as well as helicopters, emergency flights, freight movements and private VIP jets.

Responsible to the Country Manager to develop and deliver on commercial strategies, undertake contract reviews, and provide advice to senior management on matters relating to commercial opportunities and risks associated with the project to ensure financial success whilst also ensuring current client’s needs are met. Analyse competitors and the wider market, to ensure strategy relevance and to unlock potential market opportunities.

Now our operation is expanding our Operations department is also expanding. Whilst my previous responsibilities remain the same I am also responsible for ensuring our new bases are ready to go on day 1 of contract start.

I am responsible to the CEO to ensure our operations run smoothly. I ensure everything from our flying schedule to Air Maestro, meals and accommodation is provided for our crews. I have to ensure the slot times our clients require are requested through the proper channels and also assist the CEO with quotes for our ad hoc charters.

Responsible to CASA as the FPP for Ground Operations for Helifix Operations Ltd and report to the CEO and the GM to ensure all ground operations personnel comply with CASA and Helifix regulations and policies. I also assist the GM with commercial responsibilities ensuring good communication with our current clients and chasing up new contracts. I conduct recurrency training for Loadmasters and Ramp staff, and am the SAR Crewman for the Port Moresby base.

Responsible for the management and daily operation of the Total contract at Herd Base for Helifix. This includes the wet lease of HNZ helicopters and ensuring Helifix comply with contractual obligations. I am the interface between Helifix, Total and HNZ, whilst also ensuring Search and Rescue training in the AW139 is maintained.
