Working closely with the store manager & assistant store manager with the day to day running of the store, in their absence, it is my responsibility to take control of the store; this would include deputising and delegating tasks effectively.

My responsibilities included:- ensuring weapon systems were maintained and running correctly.- Overseeing a team of up to 10 whilst at sea, my team and I were responsible for being closed up at specific stations throughout the submarine whilst diving, surfacing and any weapons firing. Also, whilst at these stations I was responsible for ensuring all were running correctly and that timing was adhered down to the second.- I was responsible for creating the duty rota whilst in port for a team of 15 people. This included ensuring that there was a member of my section on duty for 24 hours for every day we were in a port.- I aided my Petty Officer, predominantly organising maintenance and repairs of our weapon systems whilst we were in a maintenance period in port. I also liaised with the planning team, ensuring health and safety was adhered to when work commenced and ensuring our maintenance did not conflict with other maintenance that was on going in other sections.- I was a key member of the damage control headquarters team whilst at sea, ensuring that in any emergency situation we organised firefighting teams, electrical and mechanical control teams and prioritsed bringing critical systems back on line.- The training of new team members, also, further training of existing employees
