Sr. Benefit Analyst Provide comprehensive support to ongoing benefit programs by leading initiatives (i.e. Annual Enrollment, Wellness Implementation, Proxy, Annual Benefit Budget, Summary Plan Description updates). Administer Nalco’s employee benefit programs: medical, dental, and vision plans; life and disability insurance plans; retirement income plan; and profit sharing and savings plan. Responds to all inquiries and resolves issues from employees, retirees, managers, and benefit providers. • Benefit project lead or support on numerous projects related to the December 2011 Ecolab acquisition of Nalco Company and integration of benefit plans. Projects included: due diligence plan and budget review; 401(k) conversion from AON Hewitt to Fidelity; health & welfare administration provider search and implementation; insurance provider RFP and transition for medical, dental, vision, wellness, life Insurance and long term disability; payroll wage type analysis.• Managed, designed and implemented new wellness program (Be Well). The Be Well program exceeded first year participation metrics resulting in 45% of US based employees completing a wellness assessment and biometric screening. The communication campaign received a MarCom Gold Award and a Bronze Award from the League of American Communication Professionals. In 2012 received highest employee recognition for success of the Be Well program as the Chairman’s Award winner representing corporate functions.• Lead annual Open Enrollment project which includes: benefit renewal and plan design, benefit plan cost projections and budget development, communication strategy, design of enrollment materials, employee presentations.• Project lead on many benefit initiatives including: Developed new hire on-boarding presentation and materials; develop annual benefit fringe budget of $138M; redesigned benefits website, SPD updates, compliance notices, BCBS claims audit, Proxy support.

Manage the global design and analysis of employee benefit programs. Accountable for the overall compliance, administration, communication and vendor management of the company benefit programs. Responsible for the direction and management of two exempt level staff. Build benefit recommendations for senior management approval. Manage health, welfare and retirement budget of $35M.• Reduced the benefit allocation from 25% to 23% of payroll through program design, expense management, cost-sharing and vendor changes. Implemented a new Executive life benefit achieving both cost reduction of $270K and increased insurance coverage.• Developed future health plan strategy by moving toward Behavior Change design model. Developed guidelines for health plan cost management. Introduced new wellness programs, incentives, disease management. Health plan costs maintained below trend for 3 years.• Designed Global Benefit Management model for international benefits. Developed RFP to streamline global consulting services to support new framework in order to maximize cost savings, minimize risk and support global governance. • Managed the successful conversion to a new 401k and non-qualified plan administrator in 2006. Lead 401(k) Investment Committee member responsible for conduct of quarterly meetings. 401(k) Plan fiduciary responsible for making decisions on behalf of the plan and participants (308M in plan assets). • Managed the annual Open Enrollment projects including: benefit renewal and plan design, benefit plan cost projections and budget development, design of new enrollment materials, communication strategy, support of the implementation of new SAP Employee Self Service System (ESS), and development of ESS training materials.• Supported the implementation of the HR Employee Service Center (HRES) by developing a benefit training program and managing the outsourcing of FMLA, immigration and relocation.
