I was responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of the BOC main headquarters office which housed over 600 employees.This included:* Providing ongoing management of the campus facility services and mail room * Supporting staff with booking and preparing meeting rooms and assisting with coordinating special events * Maintaining the building by providing proactive maintenance support where required and liasing with building maintenance contractors when needed* Responsibility for the incoming and outgoing mail both internally and externally* Ensuring staff took accountability for their safety and helping to manage and resolve any staff complaints effectively* Managing the building security by issuing security access passes and monitoring any breaches.

I was responsible for several different elements of PR including:* Writing press releases for a wide range of council portfolios* Writing articles and features for a variety of in-house publications which included different audiences * Promoting council services on social media and responding to enquiries from members of the public* Generating ideas, researching and writing original articles for publications, leaflets, brochures, media releases and specific campaigns* Taking photographs, coordinating photo opportunities and filming videos for online content * Handling media enquiries from local and national organisations * Supporting the planning and organisation of new promotional campaigns and projects* Producing materials for campaigns including leaflets, posters and flyers* Providing advice and services for various departments who want publicity * Updating the website with new content and images * Developing effective working relationships with suppliers and outside agencies, as well as internal relationships across all departments.
