Ict ManagerGeospatial Intelligence Pty Ltd Jan 2015 - Jun 2021Responsible for ICT team and system that support Geospatial Intelligence's mission and delivery of projects to clients. I worked to deliver customised geospatial software and robust spatial data platforms both internally and externally to clients. I have worked on projects using Apple iOS, Android, Java, Microsoft .Net and web technologies. My experience includes a wide range of database systems and other software system infrastructure components. As part of my role I lead the company's software development team to provide development services to clients as well as internal research and develop focusing on a range of artificial and machine learning system to allow us to process data more efficiently. As part of my role I oversaw the development team that delivered the PressAtlas® geospatial news platform for Spatial Apps Pty Ltd. This project involved developing a near real-time geospatial news index system and associated infrastructure capable of processing in excess of a million news articles a day. When deployed to production the system was required to be able to store more than 30 million articles at once and remain responsive. The system linked to mobile applications and had to return data based on geospatial queries in a responsive manner to match user expectations. The project also included the development of the mobile apps that were user friendly and assisted users in finding news.As part of this role I have gained experience developing for and supporting a wide range of geospatial software packages including; ESRI, ENVI, BAE Socet GXP, QGIS and Geoserver.
