I provide legal advice concerning international trade matters, including imports, export controls, economic sanctions, and supply chain issues in support of a variety of Amazon business lines (except AWS), including Project Kuiper, Amazon's initiative to launch and operate low-Earth-orbit satellites to provide high-speed, low-latency broadband services to consumers, businesses, and other customers worldwide.

My practice focused on import and export compliance, as well as international transportation and sanctions issues. I represented U.S. and foreign clients before various regulatory agencies and committees, including the Directorate of Defense Trade Controls (DDTC), the Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) and the Bureau of Industry and Security (BIS). I also counseled clients on matters concerning the International Traffic and Arms Regulations (ITAR), Export Administration Regulations (EAR), and the Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States (HTSUS).

Advised U.S. and international clients, including air carriers, air operators and foreign civil aviation authorities on government approvals, regulatory matters and commercial transactions.

Law clerk to the Committee on Energy and Commerce, Subcommittee on Oversight and Investigations.

Assisted in the enforcement of the Export Administration Regulations administered by the Bureau of Industry and Security.
