I run a UK charity that supports children and their families living in poverty and helps them through crisis situations such as serious illness. We offer crisis funding (24 hour turn around) and respite breaks. I also run song writing workshops in London prison drug rehabilitation wings supporting prisoner who are trying to live drug free. Writing, playing and performing music in prison can provide a positive learning experience. It can act as a catalyst in the process of rehabilitation, helping to unravel complex and sometimes frightening emotions and express those feelings in a non-confrontational way.I launched and run the company Upstart Crow - we put on London's only festival dedicated to singer songwriters. It takes place in Spitalfields every year over the last weekend in September. I became a foster carer in 2015.
