The products introduced there included new platform designs for the non-patterned wafer inspection scattered light microscopes and phase shifting interferometers. These products include: - Cutting edge UV lasers; - High speed high precision stages utilizing high speed spindles; - Cutting edge UV optics; - PMT's;- Image computersThe many remote launches were so successful that the methods used were adopted by other products throughout the company for their remote NPI launches. In addition to the many NPI projects, I coordinated the development of custom packaging for precision opto-mechanical assemblies to achieve plug-n-play field replacements, contract manufacturer NPI launch, clean room expansions and preparation, and photocontamination avoidance readiness.The KLA-Tencor Singapore operations team was faced with new product ramp that turned out far exceed the volume forecasted. I was recruited to relocate to Singapore and manage the manufacturing engineering design team to meet the build and shipment commitments. During this 7 months assignment, I hired additional engineers and introduced process improvements including an on-line documentation management system in SharePoint and the organization met the production delivery commitments.I effectively managed the manufacturing introduction "hit-list" meetings where I lead the cross functional design team resolutions of design issues effecting the manufacturing ramp. My outstanding communication and management skills lead to the successful prioritization and resolution of the issues enabling the successful Surfscan product ramp.
