As a strategist and innovator, I took leave from ANLC in late 2016 after successfully turning a small, family-run company into the most prestigious in the industry. I have begun to focus on a new project, which is set to disrupt the construction procurement cycle, using technology to enable stakeholders to more easily review and purchase materials and products, all while facilitating more functional inventory and workflow management solutions. Using cutting-edge technology, we endeavour to shake-up the marketplace, by creating greater value for all customers/suppliers, all while giving greater transparency and control to stakeholders across the journey.

After serving as Construction Manager and General Manager, I took over as CEO in 2009. At the time, ANLC posted annual revenue of circa $2MM with a staff of 5. For FY2016, revenue hit ~$40MM with more than 80 employees, stretching across a group of 3 companies. ANLC had become Australia’s leading commercial landscape company, offering a holistic approach to design, procurement, construction, and maintenance.Part of the company’s success can be attributed to organizational moves, including the implementation of an advisory board and a weekly operating committee focused on company performance. As a registered builder, I understand construction practices and methodologies, allowing for the implementation of an integrated management system which became an Australian standard, certified for quality, safety, and environmental policies and procedures. Always striving to expand company reach abroad, I spearheaded the successful acquisition of Casey Waterworks, a small irrigation company, which blossomed into an SME, all while using my global network, which reaches across Asia and North America, to lead and map an Australasian expansion. Additionally, I was able to negotiate the Australasian license and distribution rights for a waterproof expansion joint out of Switzerland, which had Unique IP at the time. ANLC developed the product, having it approved and specified by architects and builders in Australia, before selling the rights back to the Swiss manufacturer for a significant profit in order to focus on the company’s core business: the management, design and construction oversight of environmental sustainability and urban landscape projects worth up to $20MM.ANLC has had the privilege to work on projects for clients and partners which include Multiplex, Lend Lease, Mirvac, Probuild, Gandel Group, Grocon, Far East Consortium, CPB Contractors, John Holland, Theiss, Vicinity Centres, GPT, QIC, Monash University, Places VIC, Major Projects Victoria, MCC and VIC Track.
