The LATS program at UCSD focuses on aiding students writing through culturally informed and holistic one-on-one tutoring. We place special focus on empowering students to communicate and express themselves through the written word.

Our project involved coding qualitative data from two surveys administered to multiple undergraduate courses at UCSD to determine how a module debunking genetic essentialist beliefs changed student understanding of the social construct of race.

The Editor-in-Chief of The Muir Quarterly leads the organization and has significant influence over the style and tone of the satire we publish. The EIC works with UCSD administration to set and manage the budget, schedules print dates with the printing company, serves as a liason between the University and the organization as a whole, oversees editorial board meetings, and serves as the lead manager during the production cycle.This role has taught me more about teamwork, adaptability, and organization than any class ever has.

Content editors at UCSD's Muir Quarterly are in charge of writing and running content, as well as editing all articles, briefs, and features that end up in the paper for humor, clarity of satire, and fluency. All editors are tasked with upholding our high standards of quality whilst maintaining our goal of writing satire that makes our readers think about the world we live in.

Graphics Editors are in charge of all graphics that go in the paper -- from article graphics to every asset in a feature. Everything is made during the production cycle using professional software.

Staff writers at The Muir Quarterly submit articles for publication and contribute to running content during the production cycle.

Beach Boys at the Sheraton Waikiki bring the aloha spirit to hotel guests by managing vending, experience bookings, towel distribution, opening/closing the pool, and above all, safety at the Helumoa Pool, the Edge Pool, and the Beach Desk.
