I come from a non-traditional coding background. I studied two years of Aerospace Engineering before deciding to switch to a more hands-on career field as an Airframe & Powerplant Aircraft Mechanic. I have always been fascinated by different coding technologies and I always found myself daydreaming of becoming a Software Engineer someday in my future. Working as an aircraft mechanic has allowed me to learn to adapt to any situation and work well under pressure. I have learned how to be accurate with an acute attention to detail that working on aircraft demands. I have led entire projects and have built a reputation that I am proud of. I can function as a team-member and step into leadership positions whenever required. I feel these skills can directly transfer into my pursuit of becoming a Software Engineer. In 2022 I finally decided to stop daydreaming and make the leap of faith into the career field that I love. I initially began using open-source coding courses to get my "feet wet" and immerse myself into the world of coding. After learning the basics, I found Coding Dojo and enrolled as soon as I could. I have learned how to collaborate with others as a part of a team to complete assignments of varying complexity.
