In September 2016 I joined the Network Rail Project Management Graduate Scheme.For my first placement I joined the On Network Works Team in Birmingham. ONW manages the interface between the new High Speed Rail Two line and the existing railway infrastructure.In this placement I work within the Project Office, supporting the project teams in adhering to governance by having stringent Change Control Processes, Project Management Plans, Risk Logs and Communications documents.This placement has gained me a wide experience within ONW and within Network Rail.For my second placement I joined the London-Corby project in IP East Midlands. I worked within the OLE Team, who are responsible for developing the Overhead Line Electrification equipment along the Bedford - Corby section of the Route. I worked extensively with the Principle Contractor, managing issues such as Land and Consents, closures of level crossings and buried services. I also went on several site visits, including a night piling shift. Another highlight was helping to organise the GRIP 3 Stage Gate for the wider project.
