I was the sponsor the the redevelopment of University Station and Perry Barr Transport Interchange (Rail Station and Bus Interchange) in Birmingham. This is in advance of the Commonwealth Games in the summer of 2022 and aims to revitalise the local areas. Primary tasks will include securing funding from various partners, working with the project teams to deliver on programme and budget and working with a wide variety of stakeholders to meet their requirements.

I am working within the High Speed Rail Development team, working on the integration with HS2 and the Network Rail infrastructure around the Birmingham area.My project is the Water Orton Corridor Enabling and Associated Works. This involves working with the project delivery team and the client extensively to deliver a successful GRIP 3 Stage of the project. Key tasks so far have included refreshing the Client and Route Requirements Documents as well as refreshing key documents for the GRIP Stage completion.

In September 2016 I joined the Network Rail Project Management Graduate Scheme.For my first placement I joined the On Network Works Team in Birmingham. ONW manages the interface between the new High Speed Rail Two line and the existing railway infrastructure.In this placement I work within the Project Office, supporting the project teams in adhering to governance by having stringent Change Control Processes, Project Management Plans, Risk Logs and Communications documents.This placement has gained me a wide experience within ONW and within Network Rail.For my second placement I joined the London-Corby project in IP East Midlands. I worked within the OLE Team, who are responsible for developing the Overhead Line Electrification equipment along the Bedford - Corby section of the Route. I worked extensively with the Principle Contractor, managing issues such as Land and Consents, closures of level crossings and buried services. I also went on several site visits, including a night piling shift. Another highlight was helping to organise the GRIP 3 Stage Gate for the wider project.
