Currently leading a team of SCM engineers located in the US & Poland that provide SCM support for over 50 software development projects within Sabre’s Shared Systems Development group. Supervising the team responsible for performing nightly build and deployments to the daily test environment.Supervising the team responsible for tagging, building, staging, and deploying releases to the integration environment, for over 50 projects, in a 4 week agile release cycle.Worked with the Dev Tools team in their rollout of the Atlassian Stash Server for Git. First development group at Sabre to migrate to Git.Migrated all remaining projects in Clearcase to Git. Migrated projects from Subversion to Git at the project owner’s request. Developed and taught a Git training class for 100+ software engineers in Krakow and Dallas. Developed Perl scripts to monitor Git repositories, Subversion working copies, and Clearcase view storages. Scripts stored daily data in an SQLite database and results were posted on the SCM group website. Ported the automated build and deploy scripts to use Git as well as Subversion.Worked with the Infrastructure team to create the Common Automation Framework(CAF) product that was to become the standard tool for software deployment. Responsible for writing the Python Oracle/SQLite Database Interface module for CAF.

Responsible for migrating all Java projects stored in Clearcase to Subversion. Modified all build automation scripts to support multiple version control tools. Worked with SCM team members to automate the build process for all projects using the Hudson build server. Worked with SCM team members to implement automated deployment scripts for over 30 projects. Deployment scripts were setup to run from the Hudson Build Server. Developed a source code line counter script, which was used to measure the number of lines changed per release for each project.Promoted to SCM Principal

Worked with the development team in porting projects from Tandem/Himalaya to Linux. Ported project makefiles to support gnu make compatibility for clearmake. Developed build wrapper scripts that allowed us to standardize the way builds are started, regardless of the project’s language. Developed and maintained a CM webpage that uses cgi scripts for getting Clearcase project status and baseline/delivery reports for project integration streams. Developed Clearquest schemas for tracking software defects and implemented Clearquest with our Clearcase projects.Promoted to SCM Lead

Responsible for setting up and supporting a multi project multi platform UCM environment in Clearcase 6 for 115 engineers. Duties included developing delivery and rebase strategies for multiple projects, maintaining nightly builds for all projects on tandem/Himalaya platform, creating baseline releases for deployment to the test environment, development of Perl scripts used for creating baselines and builds, troubleshooting of all UCM deliver and rebase problems in Clearcase, and routine maintenance of all project makefiles.

Manager of Configuration Management for the Intelligent Package Network development group of Marconi Communications. Responsible for defining configuration management plans and training users in the use of Clearcase and Clearquest in a UNIX and NT environment. Duties included creating configuration management plans, configuration item status and auditing, Clearcase troubleshooting/support, Clearquest schema design, Clearquest troubleshooting/support, Multisite troubleshooting/support, makefile maintenance, software builds, perl trigger and utility script development, and user training/mentoring. Worked closely with the development staff to modify config specs and migrate source code from Clearcase to NT and Unixware machines prior to each build.Also developed perl cgi scripts that allowd the CM staff to monitor vob size and multisite vob synchronizations.

Clearcase Administrator for the Wireless Systems Lab development group. Supported 50 engineers in a UNIX and NT environment. Duties included Clearcase troubleshooting/support, DDTS troubleshooting/support, DDTS class template development, installation of the Clearcase and Clearddts web interfaces, perl trigger development, support of all application makefiles and software builds.

Lead Clearcase Administrator for the Advanced Network Solutions development group. Responsible for defining configuration management plan/policies and converting the group from CVS to Clearcase in a Sun Solaris/Oracle environment. Duties included installing Clearcase, importing all data into Clearcase, modifying all makefiles to support clearmake, Clearcase troubleshooting/support, installation and support of the Clearcase and Clearddts web interfaces, development of configuration management plans, configuration item status and auditing, development of all DDTS class definitions, perl trigger development, support of all application makefiles, software builds, and installation of each release for the quality and testing group. Worked closely with the development staff through all phases of the development life cycle to control changes and to ensure that all related files were put in Clearcase and labeled for each release.Also developed perl build/release scripts that linked sun install packages from the clearcase release vob to the CM web page. This allowed easy installations to any host on the intranet.

Part of staff supporting all configuration management functions for software development. Duties include supporting IBM’s SCM tool CMVC, developing SCM plans for development projects, developing PERL scripts for generating metrics, development of ksh scripts used for software migration on PC’s using MKS, migration of development software to production using NVDM, and evaluation of new SCM and distribution tools. Other duties included support of software development tools Composer and Business Objects and teaching of a PERL class for other SCM support personnel.

Lead Clearcase administrator for a development staff of 150 engineers in a Sun Solaris environment. Responsible for VOB and View creations, merging of files from the development branch to main branch for development teams, organizing change control board meetings, diagnosing clearcase errors, creating separate DDTS class scripts for different organizations within Motorola including software development, information systems, and facilities. Other duties included development of Perl/Perl-TK scripts, and support of all other software development tools including Softbench, Cadre Teamwork, Software thru Pictures, Framemaker, QA Partner, and all C/C++ compilers. Developed and taught configuration management class for all software developers using Clearcase and DDTS. Also worked closely with the Software Quality team in developing the Software Configuration Management process which Motorola PPG used in reaching SEI Level 2 certification. Promoted from senior engineer to engineering specialist in March 1995.

Software developer working for the CAD/CAM group of General Dynamics Data Systems Division. Responsible for C code development of support applications, in a UNIX evironment, used by engineering groups throughout General Dynamics. These applications included document translation programs, floating license servers, and Oracle Pro C database applications used for computer inventory.. Other duties included user support of DSEE configuration management software, Cadre Teamwork and IDE Software thru Pictures.

Support Engineer on the hotline help staff. Supported engineers and architects using Accugraphs ADC800 CAD system. Promoted to training staff in 97. Responsible for training new users at Accugraphs El Paso Training facility. Helped maintain the ADC 800 training curriculum and developed software testing procedures used during system test.Promoted to software development staff in 88. Received training in PASCAL programming. Responsible for developing new releases of the ADC 800 product line.
