I was responsible for managing a team of consultants to deliver consistent results on schedule, to build and manage client relationships, and to identify, quantify, and sell new opportunities.Some Recent Projects Include: 1) A Major UK Travel Company (2016-2019)• Conducted a preliminary study of the company’s Network and Telephony Strategy• Ran a formal RFP process, and negotiated a dozen vendor contracts.• Prepared project budget and business cases. • Implemented the new solutions, involving: - A change in the client’s Service and Operations model through an insourcing program. - Numerous changes of supplier, and the introduction of new technologies. - Dealing with senior stakeholders and managing the efforts of dozens of people across nearly 10 countries. - Day to Day PMO work, and financial tracking of capex and opex to ensure the programme stayed within budget. - Total OpEx savings of £3.96m per annum (a savings of 41%). 2) A UK Utility Firm (2014-2016, 2020)• Baselined existing spend and audited telecom services.• Finalised contract negotiation with a single source provider.• Project managed the implementation of the new contract, including - A technology refresh for LAN, Wi-Fi and IPT technologies. - The introduction of new technologies for its mobile engineers. - Financially tracked new spend against baseline to validate the business case. - Total OpEx savings of £4.69 million over 5 years (a savings of 29%). • Asked back in 2020 to write a new Network and Telephony tender, and to provide a commercial / technical evaluation of the responses.3) A Major UK-based multinational Telecommunications Supplier (2013-2014)• Conducted a company-wide review of mobile telecommunications.• Negotiated pricing and contacts in 14 different countries. • Ran the migration programme to the new supplier.• Total OpEx savings of £2.69 million over 3 years (a savings of 51%)

My role, and recent projects, includes: 1) International Business Development- Part of a team which worked to set up a distribution network across Europe and Asia for a North American optical transport company.- As Alternate Channels Manager, was the interface for a 15+ distributors into the company.- My responsibilities also included: drafting Distribution Agreements, negotiating pricing, network designs, organizing training sessions, and organizing participation in International exhibitions.2) Undertook a feasibility study to assess the feasibility of providing centralised IT and Telephony Services at one of the Inns of Court.3) Optimisation of Telecommunications Networks for SMEs and major corporates.- Through a number of consulting assignments, re-organised a £2.2bn turnover client's telecommunications administration and management of its telecommunications services/providers, while advising the client on telecommunications strategy and reducing its telecommunications expenses by over £1m in the first year.- Ran a tender process, and negotiated the final contract, for a mobile phone contract worth in excess of £4.5 million, for a client in the transport sector.- Ran a tender process, and negotiated the final contract, for a mobile phone contract worth in excess of £3 million, for a client in the transport sector.- Ran a telecommunications services tender process for a £10bn multinational company, identifying in excess of £410k of savings. Proactively identified a number of further areas in which the client could make savings totaling in excess of £1m.4) Bid/Tender preparation.- Involved in both the preparation of formal bids/proposals for consulting contracts, and in running tender processes for clients.
