I am an experienced person with a demonstrated history of working in the Security and Investigations industry as well as having run leadership/development programs on behalf of the GAA with future leaders in facilitating the Dermot Early Youth Leadership Initiative. My current role is working in a supervisory capacity in which I have developed a culture of inclusivity in order to ensure that my team is effective in working together to accomplish goals that are set. I have also fostered an environment where I mentor and coach my team and others to accelerate their knowledge, skill and practice in order to show them their strengths and to navigate their blind spots. I also have responsibility for day to day planning, organising and coordinating of people and operations.I am the current chairperson of the Mayo Branch of Down Syndrome Ireland. In this role, I advocate on the behalf of the members to Down Syndrome Ireland while also maintaining a governance role in the day to day business of the Branch. I have responsibility for the financial wellbeing of the Branch as well as organising and coordinating operations within the Branch structure as well as working with C-suite of Down Syndrome Ireland in the delivery of projects.I have developed my skills in team leadership, crisis management, project management, emergency management, diversity, decision making and working with stakeholders from all walks of life.
