• This position involved opening a brand new store in Crawley. • Training 8 members of staff to new systems, hardware and software. • Unloading several lorries per day, scanning goods and organising them into the warehouse efficiently (including the use of a forklift). • Organising varied shift patterns and rotas. • Maintaining a high level of health and safety plus security awareness. • Keeping all paperwork and records as required.

• Working closely with the store manager to ensure a high level of customer service is met. • Driving sales by ensuring a safe a tidy showroom was kept and regularly updating the showroom displays. • My responsibilities included the ordering of stock and helping in the warehouse to organise the stock (including forklift duties). • Often required to make deliveries when needed.

• Ensuring large trailers were unloaded and the goods arranged safely and in a timely manor while complying with company health and safety procedures. • I would manage a team of 11 people through the night shift and then 30 drivers in the morning, Liaising with them and organising their deliveries alongside the day shift managers. • I had very strict key performance indicators set by the company to which I completed to a very high standard every week. • These indicators included, records and targets for absence, sickness, company budgets / targets, disciplinary actions, health and safety and security procedures. • I attended courses for my own development including, people management, operational awareness, security awareness, health and safety and forklift training.
